    tabitha, the actor who played Lucas (Chad Michael Murray) wouldn’t sign the contract unless he was granted more money and the actress who played Peyton (Hillarie Burton) wanted to be in smaller films (basically wanted to be out of One Tree Hill).
    The story behind them leaving is that they left Tree Hill to be with Karen (Lucas’ mom), Andy (Lucas’ stepdad) and Lily (Keith and Karen’s baby).

    I LOVE NALEY AND NATHAN IS SO FINE I LIKED LUCAS BUT I COULDN’T STAND PEYTON SHE REALLY GOT ON MY NERVES SHE ALWAYS WANTED TO BE WITH LUCAS WHEN HE WAS WITH SOMEBODY AND NOW THAT SHE GOT HIM I HOPE THEY STAY TOGETHER..BUT NALEY I HOPE THEY DONT BREAK UP

    Lucas (chad) is still directing some one tree hill scenes tho altho hes left and there has been talks of both him n peyton (hillarie) returnin in season 8 :)
